I worked this week’s #MoodMonday playlist from a playlist that I made a while ago. I called it my ‘groovin’ playlist, but I think that was a condensed version of ‘playlist that I imagine myself listening to in the deep bayou/wild west combo of the world that doesn’t exist.’ Think: twangy guitars, crooning voices and lots of tambourine.
Or think about Season One of True Detective…because I’m pretty sure I was watching that while I worked on this playlist. It’s a few songs shorter than last week – I had intended to do at least 10 songs per list, but a few of the songs on this list are a little longer, so I think it should even out. Happy listening!
Meet Me in the Alleyway | Steve Earle
I Cut Like a Buffalo | The Dead Weather
If 6 was 9 | Jimi Hendrix
Lazaretto | Jack White
Sinister Kid | The Black Keys
Love in Vain | The Rolling Stones
Far From Any Road | The Handsome Family
You can take a full listen to list, here. And as always, comment if you find a new artist, a new groove or just want to do a general geek out about a mutual song/artist love.
